Tights are one of the most important parts of the hosiery sub-section. A staple of any women's wardrobe, tights are one of the highest selling hosiery items. There are truly endless options to chose from when wanting to buy tights, you can literally buy any design or colour to fit your personality!
Now for a little bit on the history of tights. The word 'hosiery' comes from the 'hose' worn by men in the 1600s when they wore tights that were as tight as possible for when riding around the country on their horse. Rich men with money to spend would wear expensive materials such as silk, compared to the more basic cotton versions worn by poorer, more common man. These days you do not see many men wearing tights and have become a staple in the modern women's wardrobe.
